Coming Up

Hello, folks! Life has been crazy busy, and isn't about to slow down anytime soon... but hopefully my day job will wind down in the next month or so, and I will have more time for my personal projects!

Some of those projects include you guys! I really want to get down some patterns that I've been working on, as well as a few more tutorials for YouTube - I can't wait to share them with you guys! I've also started using Periscope, and I really like it! Right now it's just WIP updates, but I also hope to provide help and tips, too, so keep and eye out!

In the meantime, I've been dreaming up a learn-to-knit series, using wash cloths to build skills. I will be doing washcloths because they are small, quick, and useful. Because they complete quickly, the new knitter will be able to move on to their own projects sooner than if they learned on a scarf or cowl. I would love to teach the series in person, but I will probably do it through YouTube, first, and see where it goes from there.

With all of the craziness at work, I have been reminded of just how important it is to have down time, even when it feels like the world will end or you will be a big fat failure if to don't keep going and going and going... Truth is, we are more likely to meet disaster if we allow ourselves to get burnt out. So, make sure to take a little bit of time to knit, have a cup of tea or coffee or cocoa, and just let it all go for a bit. You will have more energy and creativity if you do! I promise... all kinds of super ideas came to me when I finally let myself have a little rest from all the pressure.

Allowing myself some space and grace has really saved my sanity this week! I am more excited than ever to get my projects done so I can work on cool stuff to share with you guys!

I would also love to hear what you would like to see more of...  I know I want to share more of my WIPs, plus various tutorials and patterns. Do you have a particular tutorial that you would like? Would you like to see some of my favorite yarns and yarn shops? Would you like more live casts on Periscope? Please let me know what you are looking for, and I'll see what I can do about it!

Thanks for reading, and I hope to get some more posts, patterns, and tutorials out to you, soon!

Best,

Steph
